Beach houses in Sweden

Friday, February 11th, 2011

In almost any other holiday destination families meet with children on such a large selection of beach houses in Sweden. Due to the several hundred kilometers of beach on the Skagerrak, Kattegat and Baltic Sea, the islands of Oland and Gotland and the archipelago with thousands of small islets, the number of vacation homes go into the hundreds of thousands.
Overlooking the seaThe family vacation is to spend almost directly on the beach dwelling, the dream of many families with children. The little ones have the “sandbox” at the door, the adults can relax by the water, sunbathe or exercise. If you have had enough of beach life, one takes refuge in only a few steps from the beach villas. Fortunately, Sweden has to offer many of these beach houses, mostly in classical, traditional and painted Falun red wooden house style. The most popular beach houses on the sunny islands of Gotland and Öland, and in the archipelago outside Sweden’s east coast. Here are more high-priced beach houses, because the proximity to the Swedish capital, gives them an air of exclusivity. For families with children are beach houses on Oland and Gotland, hip, because the beaches are child friendly and flatter.

The beach house

Ok, I probably have a bipolar personality disorder (if there is something like that) last week placed photos of cottages in the English countryside and rural life , nor was autumn, and here a few days after estivissima way to a beach house. Now that the sun does not even see here in the Free and Hanseatic City … We hope at least a mercy seat post.
However, one of my favorite blogs – House of Turquoise – has recently published a holiday home of your dreams! To tell the truth in this blog are always beautiful interior, but I think these are the best ever. The photos were taken by Alex Hayden , the design (the house) is Soli Terry Architects , the article was originally published in Seattle Homes and Lifestyles . (Oh, there are more links in these few lines in the rest of the blog …)
Now brace yourselves, arriving photos of this beach house in Whidbey Island (in North America, including Seattle and Vancouver) and I expect a mass exodus.
Find the rest of the pictures and the article here .
I teleport there right now and would stay there indefinitely! Who is with me?
But there’s more: the blog House of Turquoise was then docked to the blog Posh Pawley Island where I instead discovered the most beautiful room I have ever seen. Fitted and photographed by the same owner of the blog, Julia Ryan, this room could not be more perfect for me even if I were made to me on purpose. Look at you.
I love the walls combined with quell’azzurrino so white, I love those chairs with fantasy soft in color as the walls and I love that they are paired with striped cushions, mix that – surprise – is very successful. I love the fireplace in part white, some with exposed brick. I love that rug that looks embroidered with branches of cherry and I love that everything is so light and bright.
The closet in the old idea is wonderful. And the pictures with frames of gold!
Beautiful table and also the mirror. Nice idea of the basket. And then there are two pairs of Hunter! It is the room for me! ;-)
Oh God, I have a room so one day. These photos will be picked out As soon as I decide to redo the room … Indeed almost almost time – with great joy dell’Amburghese – I’m going to redecorate the house. Paints and brushes, arrival!
