The Ibiza style , characterized by the exploitation of white as the linchpin of the aesthetic movement, conveys the peace and tranquility much sought after these days of stress and speed in which we live.

Possibly, this type of housing were imported to the island by the Phoenicians, those great traders and sailors who managed to develop this type of architecture from the houses they found in Mesopotamia and Egypt. The bow is an element in the construction Ibiza does not belong to this period and was adapted later. Almost certainly, was introduced in the last Punic period and has survived to this day as a characteristic of this type of houses. Simple and nobleSpeaking of Ibiza style l can not help thinking about the use of almost pure geometric shapes. Rational proportions depending on the person and the elimination of all unnecessary luxury make this movement an outstanding way to express simplicity and freedom. Highlights the fact that this flow has become fashionable in recent years, which has led to an obsession with getting to create environments that convey the freshness so characteristic of this style. Wide spaces with elements of soft shapes and the white protagonist are unmistakable signs of this trend that still characterized by its campechanía and naturally, shows true noble traits. Splurge personalityEach of us bring to our home that personal touch that makes it so us, so close to our way of being. Ibiza style, despite being close to minimalism , so fashionable lately, is easy to fit into our house and give that its own original contribution of each individual. In general, a trend we identified with the beach, the summer heat, with that feeling of relaxation that we produce a rewarding holiday. It is common to find this type of housing and decoration in the Balearic Islands, which was her kind of house property. However, it seems that other parts of Spain are beginning to follow this structure defining elements of art and Ibiza for their constructions. We will not see in architecture from the center of big cities like Madrid and in northern Spain, where this type of housing would be a bit awkward or even shocking, but exists to some extent within many Spanish homes through of ornaments as colorful fabrics on chairs, curtains made of glass beads and, of course, a lounge chair mural composition, usually drywall or plaster. Where he can meet this architecture is, apart from the Balearic Islands, in new developments or small single-family properties in the southern Spanish coast or the interior of the peninsula where its followers seem to have found this style of harmony and serenity as sought in these times.

On the lower level, with a wooden floor, stood the living room and master bedroom. The main rooms were presented as open spaces to create a fluid environment, therefore, the entry is accessed without interruption into the living room and dining room, which extend onto the terrace. Not to compete with the blue sea and sky, inside the white is the main character , which reflects and multiplies the light coming through the windows. The decor is deliberately neutral so that the view is lost to the outside and low and simple furnishings are not to disrupt the outlook. Small touches of color on a rug, a chair, or the collection of ethnic objects put a touch owner personal decoration. The room was furnished with a large coffee table in white glass, leather sofas Flexform , and a pair of seats from the Atlas collection by Antonio Citterio for Maxalto . The sleeping area is committed to the open space and bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and study make up a completely separate unit from the rest of the house. In the master bedroom, the bed is Capellini and the lamp on the sideboard, the series ‘Mamo Nouchis’ by Ingo Maurer . In the guest, the bed is the model ‘B’ by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini and the lamp, ‘Globall’ of Flos . On the terrace, sun loungers Tokujin Yoshioka for Driade .The bedroom area is the same standard color from the rest of the house and gave new prominence to the views and white. “We wanted to create a clean and fresh with a predominance of functional furniture with a minimalist chic , but I was also concerned to prevent any cold for the guests feel comfortable, “says the owner. “We did it because the decor is calm and quiet and not distracting the landscape.”
